Location: Old Palace Deans Way, Worcester
The Old Palace was the official residence of the Bishop of Worcester until 1842 and today is a Church House club and Diocesan Offices.
Along with the Cathedral, it is the oldest building in Worcester, becoming a Grade I listed building in 1954.
Between 2013 and 2015, the building has undergone major refurbishment and modernisation to equip it for its role as a modern office, training venue, restaurant and wedding reception venue.
As the sole contractor, Buzz Electrical were on site for 12 months; the extent of the electrical services provided can be briefly summarised as listed below:
- Incoming Mains Electrical Supply & Mains Distribution Board Upgrade.
- Lighting Upgrade & Rewiring including intelligent PIR lighting control to office areas to assist with energy saving.
- Small Power Upgrade & Rewiring.
- New Power Supplies for Fire Alarm, Intruder Alarm System & Assisted Alarm.
- Installation of Structured Cabling for Data & Telephone.
- Installation of Power and Control Wiring to Mechanical Services & Ventilation.
