Fire Service College

Size: 356 acre site 

The Fire Service College (now run by Capita) is the world leader in fire and emergency response training. As well as supporting customers from the UK Fire and Rescue Service, they also meet the training needs of other UK public sector organisations, the private sector and the international market. 

As an approved Capita contractor, Buzz Electricians have been employed on various contracts at the college for the past 14 years. 

Ongoing contract work has included:

• Partial rewiring project in the Breathing Apparatus Training Building
• Testing and Inspection ( EICRs) across the site encompassing 60 buildings
• Remedial works following testing and inspection to gain satisfactory compliance
• LED lighting upgrade to road traffic accident main building
• Upgrade of lighting, power & DATA to 8 lecture theatres
• Upgrading mains distribution intake to sports complex on site
• Remote switching of the site street lighting throughout the site
• Installing new supplies to electric gates around the complex New lighting upgrade throughout main atrium café
• Installation of electronic smart metering across the site
• Supplying maintenance electricians on a week to week basis
